About the project

Jim came to us with a vision in mind to help transform his backyard entertainment space from bland to beautiful in a short period of time, and on a budget. Our team and I were quick to act on this, we went out, met with Jim, and discussed dimensions, colors, time frame and more. We then brought it to the planning board where we developed possible paver options, patterns, border options and more. Jim then was able to decide the perfect design for his property while being cost-effective at the same time. Jim also opted in to do some yard work while we redo the patio as well. This is where RFW Services really starts to work our magic!

Challenges & solutions

Throughout this project, our team faced multiple minor challenges that we had to overcome in order to carry out the rest of the project. We had to deal with rotted wood holding up the deck, footers, tons of soft ground for not suitable for machinery and more. We ran into issues getting materials to backyard, so we had to improvise and bring it back all by hand and wheelbarrow. We were faced with multiple challenges going into this project, however, RFW Services is always up for a challenge.

Every challenge has a solution, so here is some of the things we did to overcome our challenges on this job.

• Used hand tools like sledges hammers and jackhammers to remove the existing patio.
• Put our small garden tractor with the task of transporting rock, pavers, and topsoil to the backyard through the existing fence.
• Completed all work from the backyard towards the front where we added topsoil and seed to any ripped up parts of the existing lawn.
• Maintained a clean and structure jobsite ensuring the best results and 100% Satisfaction from our customers

Jim was so happy with our work he has had us come back multiple times for some of our other services for his property. Jim is always a joy to work with and our team loves coming back to his property, doing more work, and seeing how well our previous work looks years later.
