Landscape Makeover

About the project

Michael, a returning customer, came to us with a few things he wanted to change in his yard. It started with some small garden bed installs, bush trimming, mulch install, and lawn mowing. He then got a small concrete pad installed when he purchased a hot tub for his backyard. After all of this, there was still one issue... and it was that the concrete pad did not match the grade of the current backyard, so what did we do? Well, we fixed it by installing over 15 yards of topsoil in the backyard. Not only that, but we also added a new border along the fence of his property as well while we were on site.

How did it go?

Everything at this customer's property went great with no issues at all. Many landscape companies will try to hide and lie about their flaws, what they can and can't do, etc. But at RFW Services we stay transparent with our customers throughout the whole process as we believe it's the right thing to do. Michael was not interested in any crazy boarder for the garden bed along the fence, so what did we do? We simply removed the grass below, installed the pressure-treated lumber with stakes, rolls out fabric, added plants, drip line, and mulch to finish it off. But now, let's look into what we originally were there for... the topsoil install.

Topsoil projects are fairly straightforward. We first start out by doing any prep necessary such as removing old grass (in this case we did not have to), excavating areas, tilling, etc. After that, we simply complete the steps below for the best results!

• Dump and spread the topsoil or dirt in the desired areas.
• Rake out to have an even layer to match existing or new grade.
• Spread seed, add erosion control or hay, and simply water and wait for the results!
• Don't forget, we come back every few months to fertilize and more seed to promote even more growth!

Outcome

Like every project we do and or complete, this one turned out fantastic just like the rest! Michael was more than satisfied and was even nice enough to leave us a review which you can check out on our google business of how happy he was with our work. Very soon, we will have an update of all of the weeds gone as well as a brighter and more deep green color to his lawn here shortly!
