Our Lawn Care Process

FREE ESTIMATE

When you contact us for your lawn care service, you can choose between an in-person estimate or a virtual estimate. For an in-person estimate, a crew member will meet you at your house to assess the project and give you a price instantly, as long as you live within 15 miles of Pompton Plains. If you prefer a virtual quote, you can submit photos of the project so we can send you a quote over email!

LAWN MOWING

We begin our lawn care service by mowing and edging your property, usually on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Especially with the unique climate of Morris County, mowing and edging your lawn frequently helps to promote healthy grass growth, control weeds, and improve the aesthetic of your property. Further, lawn mowing prepares your lawn for the best results prior to aeration and overseeding!

AERATION

If your lawn shows signs of poor drainage patterns and compaction, we will begin our lawn care service by aerating your lawn. This process involves creating small holes throughout your lawn which help nutrients, water, and air to penetrate the soil and enrich your grass. We recommend this service twice annually in order to achieve the best results for your lawn!

OVERSEEDING

Often completed alongside aeration, we offer overseeding services to help provide lush, green grass throughout the year. This includes spreading a thick layer of grass seed onto your soil, helping to fill in gaps and promote effective growth. We recommend getting this service in both the Fall and Spring for the best results on your lawn!

FERTILIZER

Fertilizer is also often completed alongside aeration and overseeding especially in the fall months. However, we provide year round treatments depending on the time of year as well as what your lawn needs while following all rules and regulations for fertilizer. The team at RFW Services will provide a custom-tailored fertilizer treatment plan for your lawn to ensure the best results for your lawn!

DETHATCHING

If your lawn is still experiencing compaction and drainage issues after an aeration service, we may need to complete dethatching. This process removes thatch, which is a layer of dead grass, roots, and other organic matter that obstructs contact between your grass and soil. This service is often necessary every 2-3 years to promote lawn health!
